This blog is the byproduct of my personal on-going learning process as an entrepreneur and an occasional private investor, collaborator and adviser.
Starting tech companies is a unique challenge of combining advanced technical skills with entrepreneurial skills and know-how. Most founders of tech start-ups bring strong technology background but are sometimes lacking the background on the business side. I often see young founders wasting precious time and money or making grave mistakes that can kill even the best technologies and products when following misconceptions and ill advice.
In this blog i am sharing from my own perpetual learning process in this field as an entrepreneur and amateur investor in a very pragmatic way. My hopes are that these posts will first and foremost help me improve and maybe help others avoid some of my mistakes and misconceptions.
About me –
I am a co-founder of Colabo, a data analytics start-up that allows business professionals to aggregate, analyze and correlate their data from inside and external sources to save time and optimize customer conversions through their sales funnel.
The start-up i co-founded at 2005, B-hive (Big-data analytics software for service level management), was acquired by VMware in 2008. I have been involved as an employee, founder and investor in various types of ventures for the past 15 years and i enjoy the challenge and fulfillment of seeing something materialize from an idea to a solution. The range of ventures i have been involved in spans from an experimental special ops unit in the IDF to the first first satellite internet provider to data center automation software and have seen start-ups from the different angles of an employee, founder and investor.
Aside of technology, i am very passionate about skateboarding as a sport, culture and industry.
